1 day
Beginning from your place of residence, our journey starts at the remarkable “Oak Forest” at 673 meters, offering breathtaking views of the Princes’ Islands and the Vlychos bay. We then navigate through the “Mountain” forest, surrounded by pine trees, arriving at the quaint village of Neochori.
Our route continues as we descend towards Meganisi, reaching the perpetually cool and shaded source of “Kerasia”. Here, we will enjoy a meal of locally handmade products in the refreshing ambiance of Lefkada’s little “Panta Vrexei”.
Next, we head to the hidden, picturesque beach by the monastery of Ag. Nikolaou for a swim in its turquoise waters. The tranquil sea guides us to the island’s southernmost point, home to the ancient temple of Apollo and the modern-day “Ducato” lighthouse—a site linked to the ancient poet Sappho, who, according to legend, leapt from these cliffs due to unrequited love.
As we traverse the island’s west side, we’ll admire the famous beaches of Porto Katsiki and Egremnon from above. Our journey then takes us to the Englouvi plateau, known for its lentil fields and the stunning 1015-meter view from the Profitis Ilias church. We will ascend to the island’s highest point, Stavrota, at 1182 meters, offering panoramic views of the Arkanika Mountains and Panaitolikos peaks.
Descending, we’ll visit the village of Karya at 500 meters, renowned for its beautiful square and the famous “Karsanika” textiles. Enriched with the beauty, colors, and new experiences from the lesser known parts of Lefkada, we will return to your place of residence, carrying memories and images that will last a lifetime.
